About PrepCo
Independent property preparation, for homes going to market and holiday homes going live.
About PrepCo
Whether you're getting ready to sell, launching an Airbnb, or improving guest experience in your holiday home, PrepCo provides practical property preparation: what's worth doing, what isn't, and what it will cost.
Our clients are homeowners, agents and short-term rental hosts who want their property to present properly, without spending money it won't earn back.
We work on site across Christchurch, Canterbury, Nelson and the Marlborough Sounds, and anywhere in New Zealand online.
What changed:

Our Approach
Start with what you have
We work with existing furniture, layouts and resources wherever possible.
Prioritise what matters
WWe identify the changes that will make the biggest difference, and those that won't.
Proportionate, not excessive
Recommendations are based on what buyers and guests actually notice, focusing on usability and value, not unnecessary upgrades.
Before you renovate
Without overcapitalising
Many property owners feel pressure to renovate before selling or listing. New kitchens, bathrooms, landscaping, often without any clarity on whether the money comes back.
PrepCo helps you work out which of that spend returns, and which doesn't.
We help you work out when to:
-
Refresh existing cabinetry rather than replace it
-
Paint selectively, where it genuinely adds value
-
Prioritise the improvements buyers and guests actually notice
-
Find cosmetic lifts that avoid major works
-
Skip renovations that won't move the sale price or the nightly rate
Our role is to make sure any time, effort or money spent is deliberate, proportionate and justified.
Most properties don't need renovation. They need the right preparation.

Alongside your agent or manager
We come in early, before pricing and marketing, so decisions about the property get made before anyone commits to a campaign. Your agent or property manager stays in charge of the sale or the listing. Our part is getting the property ready for it.
If you don't have an agent or manager yet, that's fine. Plenty of owners start here.
